First Home Race of the Season

John Capen
Tight race against Bel Hill.
We took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 9th places against Belmont Hill, but their first, fifth, sixth, eighth, and tenth places relative to ours were enough for them to get the edge on us today. We'll hope for a repeat of last year's season, when the same thing happened and we came back to beat them in the ISL Championship. Thayer's number one runner beat everyone, finishing in under seventeen minutes, but Leo McMahon ran in 17:17, Tyler Weisberg in 17:51, Derek Chang in 18:01, Aroon Sankoh in 18:10, Josh Guo in 18:30, Gus Vrattos in 18:36, and Powers Trigg, pulling a "Powers," leapt up to the finish to beat a Belmont Hill runner and to finish in 19:06. JV beat Belmont Hill 25-28, Saint George's 17-44, and Thayer 15-50. John Michaud finished first in 18:42, Noah Bay came in second in 19:05, Connor Hall in fourth in 19:13, Andrew Mazza sixth in 19:26, Nick Wyman tenth in 19:58, Vivan Das eleventh in 20:06, Ian Bayliss twelfth in 20:08, Owen Gund nineteenth in 21:00, Edric Kan twentieth in 21:02, John Donovan twenty-first in 21:04, Oliver Ye twenty-fourth in 21:32, Teddy Deng twenty-sixth in 21:39, Michael Walsh twenty-eighth in 21:46, Jack Wang thirty-first in 22:11, Harry Liao thirty-seventh in 22:37, Steven Pang forty-third in 24:40, Jack Bolton forty-fourth in 24:45, and Derek Hu forty-fifth in 24:49.
