    Families pick up registration packets, schedules, and nametags and have an opportunity to meet fellow parents. Refreshments available all day.
     
    12:30–5:00 p.m. Parent/Teacher ConferencesSchoolhouse
    Parents meet with teachers in ten-minute intervals, as scheduled. Please see your specific schedule for details, times, and exact locations.

    4:00–5:00 p.m. "E-Cigarettes (Vaping) as a Modern Day Trojan Horse"—Hundred House, Reading Room

    Join Pediatric Addiction Medicine Fellows, Dr. Bill Riccardelli and Dr. Tamara Martinez from Boston Children's Hospital Adolescent Substance Abuse Program for a presentation on vaping. They'll discuss the addictive qualities of nicotine and its effects on the developing adolescent brain along with signs and symptoms of nicotine intoxication, withdrawal and toxicity. The talk will explain the adverse health effects and other hazards of vaping and will provide resources for parents.

    Parent Fund volunteers and other parents interested in learning more about Groton School and the Parent Fund are welcome to attend.

    5:30–6:00 p.m. Introduction to College Counseling—Schoolhouse, Sackett Forum
    This is an optional meeting for parents of Third and Fourth Form students to hear remarks from Megan Harlan, Assistant Head for External Programs and College Counseling, and to learn more about the counseling process. Immediately following are the Parent Receptions.

    5:30–7:15 p.m. Second Form Parents Reception—Hundred House, Memorial Room
    Enjoy the company of fellow parents and wind down after the day.
    This reception is for adults only, as alcohol will be served.

    5:30–7:15 p.m. Third and Fourth Form Parents Reception—Hundred House, Reading Room
    Enjoy the company of fellow parents and wind down after the day.
    Please note that the room will be divided, with Third Form parents on the left and Fourth Form parents on the right. This reception is for adults only, as alcohol will be served.

    5:30–7:15 p.m. Fifth Form Parents Reception—Hundred House, Study Room
    Enjoy the company of other parents and hear remarks from Megan Harlan, Assistant Head for External Programs and College Counseling at 6:30 p.m.
    This reception is for adults only, as alcohol will be served.

    7:30–9:00 p.m. Parents Weekend Performance—Campbell Performing Arts Center
    Families welcome. Students performing should arrive at the arts center at 6:30 p.m.
