4:00–5:00 p.m. "E-Cigarettes (Vaping) as a Modern Day Trojan Horse"—Hundred House, Reading Room
Join Pediatric Addiction Medicine Fellows, Dr. Bill Riccardelli and Dr. Tamara Martinez from Boston Children's Hospital Adolescent Substance Abuse Program for a presentation on vaping. They'll discuss the addictive qualities of nicotine and its effects on the developing adolescent brain along with signs and symptoms of nicotine intoxication, withdrawal and toxicity. The talk will explain the adverse health effects and other hazards of vaping and will provide resources for parents.
