TOW 1/31 - 2/3

Boys’ Thirds Squash beat Brooks 9-1 and Lawrence Academy 9-4 in back to back matches on our courts this past week. They have been sharpening their skills and working hard on the track in the gym, readying themselves to take our show on the road and make Middlesex’s zebras run this Tuesday.

The boys have been working hard all season and it really showed in the level of squash they played this weekend at the largest junior tournament in the world. The team went 2-2 against strong competition, highlighted by a terrific 5-2 win over Westminster on Saturday afternoon. All the Groton players were supportive of each other and each put in a terrific mental and physical effort every time he stepped on court. Groton was very well represented this weekend!

Girls' Var Squash finished a very credible 11th position in Division 2 in the National High School Team Championships. In our last match we beat Poly Prep NYL 5/2, a fantastic result for the team. The girls played really well the whole weekend showing good composure, great spirit, tenacity and sportsmanship!

GS Swim Team had a successful meet with Andover JV on Wednesday.  Although we lost, many of our kids achieved Personal Best (PR) times in several events!  I am proud of the team for all of their effort this season.
