Asakuska Temple

Arman
Temple, Tempura, Tower
06/21 - Today was one of our more relaxing days. We had a late start and were able to sleep in as we left at 11:00 am for the Asakusa Temple. The temple is the oldest in Japan and the views there were beautiful. The temple was home to several buddha statues due to the Japanese Shinto religion and Buddhism being similar. The temple was surrounded by city and trees which created an interesting blend of a background.

After that, we went for a group lunch to a restaurant where we had tempura. It was a very pleasurable experience and the restaurant was very charming. Of course, the food was also wonderful.

Following lunch, we all went to the famous Tokyo Skytree where we were able to learn about the building and enjoy stunning views. Some of us were also able to stand on glass at the top and look down to admire the view of Tokyo.

Dinner today was up to our choice. We were able to choose from and enjoy a large selection of foods in Tokyo.
