Groton Tops Tabor in OT Thriller

J Funnell
Easily the best game of the young season, the JV squad jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals by Jack Ehrgott and Tyler Bowden, before Tabor answered and led 4-3 at halftime.  A 1-1 third quarter kept the Seawolves on top, but a two-goal fourth, incuding an upper corner laser by Connor Hall put Groton up with with time running out. A controversy over the game clock allowed Tabor enough extra time to score the tying goal just as time expired.  Max Strong ensured that the Zebras would go home happy, drilling a low bouncer past the Tabor netminder less than a minute into the overtime period to secure the team's first win.
