Groton girls crew sweeps BBN

Groton girls crew had a strong day against rival BBN. This race is always away on the 1250m Powerhouse Stretch on the Charles River. The rain broke for the afternoon races, but brought a steady 15-20 mph headwind, with gusts of 35mph and choppy water. The conditions were terrible and all the crews handled the water and wind very well. Duxbury Bay Maritime (Duxbury High) also brought 3 boats. First boat lost to Duxbury by 2 seconds and the second and third boats were able to beat all crews. Fourth boat raced two BBN boats, beating them both by the largest margins of the day, once again.
