Tale of Two Cities

Charles Dickens
Zebras Over Pelicans
In Dickensian fashion, this game was--in a sense--about dualities.
The first half was one where Groton controlled most aspects of the game--GB's, ball possession, shots, etc.--on its way to a 5-0 tally.
But credit St. Paul's for turning the tides by whittling the score down to 6-4 at one point in the 4th.
On our end of things, the ball was on the ground more; there were more broken plays and unsettled situations; there were more penalties.
Forced and unforced errors abounded.
Still, Groton managed to finish the game and get the win.
Kudos to Captains Pat Ryan and Anders Orr for their leadership, and hats off to the Pelicans for their efforts.
