Decisive victory against crosstown rival

On a beautiful spring day, the boys hosted Lawrence Academy on our outdoor courts. The boys were ready to show their skills with a tennis ball, and they ended the afternoon triumphant in all matches. Groton swept all doubles to start the afternoon with Trip Wight / Griffin Gura, Michael Lu / Samuel Lu, Husayn Ladha / Miles Zhang, and Charlie Stubbs / Thaddaeus Flatz-Ehrfeld all triumphant. Shortly afterwards, the boys won singles decisively with the aforementioned players winning their contests in straight sets.

Commented Señor Conner, "Holding my newly decorated scorebook by our managers, and seeing the courts recently repaired with a few slight cracks filled in, I felt there was positive energy surrounding the team today. The Lawrence squad was a group of fine young men who competed well with great sportsmanship. I am proud of our Groton players who represented the school beautifully in every way."

Wednesday, we head to Thayer, while Saturday we are home against Roxbury Latin.
