Big Road Win for the Lady Zeebs
The team ventured out west for a duel with Deerfield on Saturday. Playing indoors, the Zeebs continued their winning ways.
#1 doubles was a calculated takedown, earning a hard-fought 8-0 win. #2 doubles would follow suit, navigating their way to an 8-3 victory. The crowds all gathered for an intense matchup at #3. The players got their money's worth, with Groton pulling out a 9-8 victory to sweep the doubles for a 3-0 start.
Singles was all stripes up and down the line-up. #2, #3, and #4 logged dominant performances to seal the win for Groton. #1 was a slugfest, with Deerfield prevailing. #5 and #6 would go the distance, but Groton's grit and determination led them to wins in the third set breaker.

Following the win, the team explored the depths of Amherst's World Famous Antonio's Pizza, and made it home for a rousing dodgeball tournament.
The squad is now 2-0 on the year and poised to kick off the ISL title defense this week at the Governors.
