Rematch with Brooks, at their place

The girls JV traveled to North Andover for a late afternoon rematch against Brooks, following the varsity girls’ game. Izzy Hall stepped up to put on goalie pads yesterday, for one day’s practice, after our regular goalie sustained a concussion. In spite of what today’s score suggests, she was magnificent; she stopped loads of shots, and her teammates helped mightily with clearing the puck. Across the squad, the passing is getting better and better, and players are learning to rush the net to take advantage of rebounds. The team is delighted to have Lauren Ash skating with us, and today she scored her third JV goal. Reliable stalwarts Julia Ehrgott and Sunny Ma found the back of the net for our other two tallies. Once again, the Brooks goalie turned away many Groton shots.
