Dancing on skates!

An exciting afternoon in Cambridge at BB&N. The Groton girls scored first and went ahead 2-0, the BB&N girls came back to tie in the second period, then they went ahead in the third; Groton tied it up with Ellie Burnett’s first career goal. The team had loads of shots throughout the game, but a very strong BB&N goalie stopped all but three of them. In the Groton net, Lena Aloise had some fantastic saves. The team experienced a first this afternoon: music blasted from the rink speakers between periods and between whistles and puck drops. Billie Jean and Night Fever kicked off the excitement, and the dance party began; several crowd favorites followed. Coaches had a little trouble getting the attention of the girls, but the energy level certainly ramped up effectively.
