Groton Settles for Tie

In an action-packed hockey game between Governor's and Groton, the first period kicked off with Governor's taking an early lead at 5:56 as Gov's Cam Russo scored to make it 1-0. Groton responded with two goals of their own, both from fourth former KJ Ni at 11:48 and 13:39. In the 3rd period, Groton continued their offensive momentum with goals from Zach Baker at 5:58 and Kaiden Donia at 7:38. Governor's fought back with three goals from Ian Crowley at 12:00, Spencer Thornborough at 14:48, and another from Crowley at 16:50 during power-play and 6-on-5 situations. The goaltenders, Timmy Heaslip for Governor's and Ethan Ramonetti for Groton, faced a significant number of shots. Heaslip made 26 saves out of 31 shots, while Ramonetti made 37 saves out of 41 shots. The Zebras take on Pomfret on Friday and look to get back into the win column.
