Traditional Rivalry

With the Groton line-up depleted by illness and injury and the St. Mark's team looking particularly strong, this match became an uphill battle. Nonetheless, the Groton players took to the courts with determination and their focused play made for some close matches. Most notably, after going down two games, Jamie Abramson almost staged a remarkable come-back before finally losing a close, back-and-forth fifth game. At the end of the day, only Kevin Cai and Carter Lightburn, playing in the top two spots, were able to put points on the board for the Groton team. Groton has habitually gotten the best of St. Mark's in squash so this year's St. Mark's team deserves congratulations for the improvement that allowed them to turn the tables.
