Groton settles for a tie vs Rivers School

The Zebras fought back after a slow start against Rivers to ultimately tie the game 2-2. The Groton defense fought hard and only allowed two goals from Rivers in the first and second period. All throughout the first and second period the Zebras had great offensive opportunities but they didn't break through until the third period. In the last period, Rivers racked up 5 penalties which gave the Zebras the offensive momentum they needed. Their first goal, scored by CJ Armaly, brought the Boys back into the game and was met with cheers from the fans. Nearing the final moments of the game, Alejandro Hassan came through with a goal to tie the game up. Groton Defense gave their all to prevent Rivers from scoring in the 3rd period. Ethan Ramonetti saved multiple break away goal chances to keep the score even. The game ended up in overtime and both teams had chances to take the game winning goal but ultimately time ended before either team could take the win.
