Groton vs. Governor's

On a cold, almost wintry day just south of Newburyport, Groton visited Governor’s Academy for a late afternoon match.  Groton scored two quick goals in the second and third minutes of the game, with Third Former Alex Holden finishing off two precise passes from Sixth Former Leo Serodio.  The rest of the first half was a somewhat fragmented affair, with cold conditions slowing the tempo noticeably.  The Zebras emptied the bench in an effort to keep everyone warm and connected, and Groton was able to add several more goals in the second half, with a Serodio brace (assisted by Third Former Ettore Monson and Fifth Former Will Klick) sandwiching an effort from Third Former Hayun Shin.  All in all, it was a solid performance from the Zebras.  Next up: Saint Sebastian’s on 11/3 at home.
