Groton vs. Milton

After the elation of Saturday’s victory over Brooks, a date with Milton’s team on Wednesday offered a valuable (if chastening) lesson in working towards consistency in effort and product.  The boys were flat from almost the first whistle, finding themselves down 5-0 at the half.  The start to the second saw a bit more energy, but a well-worked goal from a Milton sub offered a punctuation mark to a game in which Groton failed to reproduce the intensity and cohesion from the previous match.  Next up: Rivers on Saturday (10/6).
