Groton Wins Season Opener
The GVH team earned it's first victory of the 22-23 season with a strong 6-0 win over Berwick Academy. After a scoreless first period, the Zebras scored 4 goals in the second to take a 4-0 leading into the third period. Goals were scored by Ella Nannene '26 (1st career goal), two from Kiely Murphy '25, and another by Jamie Noonan '26 (1st career goal). The Zebras picked up two more in 3rd - both from Third Former, Tina Scalese.
Veronika Hadamovsky '24 shut the door early and often, picking up her first win and shutout of the season.
GVH has a big matchup Saturday afternoon in the OB at 4pm against Kimball Union Academy.
