Outgunned Puck hangs with Brooks

An out-manned and outgunned Puck squad hosted a strong Brooks team on Saturday. Brooks jumped out to a commanding lead early in the first period while the Pucksters could muster little in the way of a response. The visitors in a great show of sportsmanship took their foot off the pedal early which allowed Puck to play its entire bench freely. This allowed several of the less experienced players gain valuable 'game' time which will pay dividends down the road. Despite playing short the team to its credit played hard and supported each other throughout. Highlights on the day included: a penalty shot attempt by Connor Hall. Though unsuccessful Connor did notch the lone goal on the day capping off his best game of the year to date; Quality play by Lucas Gordon and Spencer Miller; and JV Puck bones earned by Pat Ryan and Gus Vrattos, who came out to lend a hand to their schoolmates in a time of need. Puck looks to retool and get back at it next week.
