Zeebs on Zeebs
The Groton Girls traveled to Middlesex for the annual battle of the Zebras. It was a stunning day with perfect weather for a tennis match.
Doubles kicked off with strong performances from all three of Groton's teams. #2 and #3 wrapped up convincing wins, while #1 had to ward off some blistering serves and forehands from their opponents. Groton would win all three points.
As the players got settled into their singles matches, the only thing shining brighter than the sun was the talent on the court. Dominant performances up and down the line-up soon gave Groton the win. A strong effort from Middlesex, who was missing one of their top hitters, kept the match competitive at a few spots, but ultimately the Groton girls were too much to handle.
After the match, the team made the descent down to the indoor courts to watch the JV squad win two captivating doubles matches. Both teams really earned their stripes today!
