Groton routinely fields one of the best girls tennis teams in New England. Each spring, some experienced tournament players and a few other dedicated athletes gather on the beautiful Groton courts, and good things happen. Our players work hard together, and the result is a cohesive team of girls who not only improve significantly but also fully enjoy the time they spend with each other, on court and off. While always placing a high priority on respect for the game and the opponents, the Groton girls have amassed impressive records in recent years. Groton is consistently one of the top few teams in the very strong Independent School League and has qualified for the NEPSAC Class A New England Championships in every year since the founding of that tournament.
If you are a prospective Groton student and tennis is a big part of your life, please don’t hesitate to contact Coach Ryan Holmes to learn more about the Groton tennis program. Better yet, call the Admission Office to schedule an appointment and ask if you can meet with Coach Holmes during your visit.
