Rematch with Gov's, at their place

It was another shootout, this week in Byfield as it was the Groton girls' turn to make the trek for the game. We watch the girls' skating and stick work get better and better, and with each shift they learn more about the game of hockey - where to be on the ice, how to anticipate a pass, both given and received. We are lucky to have girls who have experience playing other team sports; their athletic smarts help compensate when the blades and feet don't do what they want. And we are lucky to have some players with considerable skating experience. We are finished until "next year" as the School heads into tournaments and a long break; we will be back in action in January, ready to continue the growth and improvement we have already seen, in individual players and in the team.
