Groton Shuts the Door on Gov's
The GVH team moved to 12-2-1 on the season after beating Gov's 3-0 on Wednesday. After a scoreless first period, Groton picked up two goals in the second - coming off the sticks of Tina Scalese '26 and Karenna Beckstein '23. Midway through the third, Jamie Noonan '26 picked up her sixth goal of the season, making it 3-0. Groton outshot Gov's 44-10.
The defensive core of Keira Ley '24, Sydney Nelson '26, Colby Gund '24, Lulu Jerrett '24, Karenna Beckstein '23, and Kate Bartlett '25 played dominant throughout the game. And that was followed up by Veronika Hadamovsky '24 shutting the door and picking up her 5th shutout of the season.
Groton looks ahead to their next matchup on Saturday night at 5:30pm - as they host Holderness School in the OB.
