Groton Beats PAS, Wins PAS Holiday Tourney
After a slow period and a half, and going down 2-0, the GVH team had to battle back against a tough PAS squad. Tina Scalese '26 got the ball rolling on a set PP faceoff that got the Zebras back within a goal (assists from Keira Ley '24 and Maddie Cronan '25). Thirty seconds later, Scalese battled through a loose puck and buried a breakaway goal to tie things up at 2-2.
The momentum quickly shifted and the line of Scalese, Cronan, and Kiely Murphy '25 came out flying in the 3rd period and scored on the very first shift. The Zebras took a 3-2 lead and never looked back. Midway through the third, Cronan buried another breakaway to take a 4-2 lead. Cronan's goal sealed up the win and championship for the GVH team!
The girls are on Christmas Vacation and will return after the new year. They have a big opening weekend as they host LA on 1/6 and travel to BB&N on 1/7.
