Beautiful Day by the Ocean

Coach Papadellis

Despite injuries and illnesses proving themselves to be a bigger obstacle than St. George’s seaside hills, Groton Boys' Cross Country ran swift and strong on Saturday afternoon. The weather was ideal for running— sunny, with a gentle sea breeze. Captain Jack Lionette ran an impressive 17:05, while Christopher Hovet followed suit with a 17:12 finish. With strong performances by Captain Vivan Das at 19:16, Ryder Cavanaugh (19:25), and Eric Ge (19:47), the team managed wins over St. George’s and Rivers School despite a loss to Tabor Academy.

Boys' Cross Country hopes for another strong performance this weekend (a little closer to home) at St. Mark’s with Governor’s and Milton!
