Pucksters notch First Shutout win of season

JV Puck picked up its first shutout victory of the season with a 4-0 win over visiting Cushing. The win was truly a total team effort as the entire squad skated a regular shift throughout the contest. Jack Ehrgott provided the pucksters with all of the offense they would need on the afternoon tallying two first period goals. Jack wasn't done for the day as he made a perfect pass setting up Co-Captain Brent Gorton for a tap into an open net late in the second period. The two headed goalie tandem of Mikler Bowletier continued their strong play turning back all Penguin attempts.
In the 'its about time' category the Greek God of 'Toedrags' Theo Koukopoulos finally managed to light the lamp ending the longest top six forward drought in Puck history. The world has surerly been notified via tweet.
Great efforts on the afternoon from several players who see limited ice time - Lars Fiske had his strongest showing to date; Spencer Miller got the start at right wing and was plus 2 on the day and Lucas Gordon added penalty kill specialist to his resume as he helped to kill off both of Walshy's indiscretions.
Puck gets back at it next Wednesday with a home tilt against Fay.
