Groton Knocks Off BB&N

The GVH team traveled down to Cambridge on Saturday afternoon to play a strong BB&N club. After a slow start, the girls started to settle the puck and got back to their game. Georgia Gund ‘23 won a battle on the wall which turned the puck over to linemate Lauren Ash ‘26. Ash ripped a shot from the slot and beat the BB&N goalie to take a 1-0 lead late in the first. 

It was a physical and fast game - and the girls battled hard and it remained 1-0 for the rest of the game. The defense of Keira Ley ‘24, Colby Gund ‘24, Lulu Jerrett ‘24, Jamie Noonan ‘26, and Sydney Nelson ‘26 played outstanding. While Veronika Hadamovsky ‘24 was stellar in net - kicking out 17 saves and picking up her second shutout of the season.
