WINdy
The gang rolled into Thayer for a showdown with the Tigers. The weather was cold and blustery. But the Zeebs were undeterred, rising to the occasion once again.
Doubles play opened the day with smart, tactical exchanges on all courts. Both teams brought great energy but Groton emerged on top, taking two of the three courts and setting the tone for the match.
Singles matches launched in waves. At the top of the ladder, players channeled their squash season finesse, slicing and dicing through points with crafty changes of pace that left their opponents scrambling. Down the line, it was all grit and power as the Groton Girls overpowered their counterparts with relentless energy and willpower.
When the dust settled, Groton walked away with a commanding 8–1 victory over a tough ISL opponent.
The team celebrated with Dippin’ Dots and the fan-favorite, meatball ricotta pizza.
Next up: a week to reset before another big matchup, this time against Tabor.
