Athletes of the Week:
Kevin Carney/ IVth Form/ Boys' JV Basketball
Kevin’s experience, maturity, and focus were readily evident in the team’s determined 56-46 victory over a strong St. Sebastian’s squad. Kevin played a solid game on both offense and defense, providing a sturdy base of performance, positive communication, spirit, and leadership for the entire team. He was a dominant presence around the basket, scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, all in addition to his 3 steals and 4 assists. Congratulations on a great game, Kevin!

Drew Burke/ Vth Form/ Boys' Var. Hockey
Fifth former Drew Burke had three goals and an assist this week for the BVH team. Burke scored two against Hebron Academy, including the game winner, in a 3-2 victory on Wednesday. He added another goal on Saturday when Groton hosted St. George’s School. Burke is tenacious and tremendously hard working. He is always an offensive threat and makes our team better each and every day.

Aine Ley/ IInd Form/ Girls' Var Hockey
Aine backstopped the Boys JV hockey team to a 5-1 win over Littleton. Aine played a solid game in net and her confident play inspired her teammates to one of their largest offensive outputs of the season. This is Aine’s second win of the season between the pipes for Boy’s JV Hockey as she also owns an 8-1 win over Groton-Dunstable

Ben Cardinal/ VIth Form/ Boys' JV Hockey
Ben scored the overtime game winner with 8 seconds remaining to lift Puck to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Winchendon. With Puck undermanned due to illness Ben played multiple positions on the afternoon. Ben also continues to serve the young team as one of its senior leaders.
