Groton wins the battle of the Zebras!

The Groton School Zebras took on the Middlesex School Zebras but only one team of Zebras would be victorious on this beautiful winter afternoon. The game was close throughout as both teams played hard for 32 minutes. Middlesex held a 1 point lead at halftime but Groton started the second half on a 7-0 run only to see Middlesex fight back to take another 1 point lead. Neither team held more than a 10 point lead until Groton was able to get their inside game going and go up by 12 with 2 minutes left in the game and hung on for the 11 point win.

Kai Volcy '17 had a great all around game as she lead the team with 17 points and dominated on the offensive and defensive boards. Alyna Baharozian '18 had 14 points and had some spectacular assists to go along with 5 steals. Mary Sabatelle '18 continued to be one of the best free throw shooter in the ISL by going 6 for 7 from the line and finished with 11 points.
