Reiss Does it Again

For the second time in as many games, Alec Reiss provided the game winner when he calmly fired home a nice pass from Philippe Heitzmann in the 69th minute. This just after Groton scored on an own goal in the 68th minute. The game, however, wasn't a sure thing at that point. Governor's had barely missed on several excellent chances, and if not for some fantastic saves by Peter White in the first half, they could have easily had the lead. In the 75th minute Mike Eberle shot through the Groton defense to bring the game within one. The last 15 minutes were a tense affair, but the Groton defense (with Rocky Chiu winning man of the match, on his birthday nonetheless) held fast.
