NEPSTA Division III
Groton track travelled to Bath, ME on Saturday to particpate in the NEPSTA (New England Prep School Track Association) Divsion III Championships hosted by Hyde School of Maine.
Highlights from the meet include a 4th place finsih for the Girls team in the 4 x 100 relay. The team of Kristie Chan, Alexandra Conner, Emma Keeling, and Ali Lamson ran a season best of 55.11 seconds with Ali running a strong final leg to hold off 5th place finishers Middlesex by .05 seconds.
In the final and showcase event of the meet, the Boys 4 x 400 team were 2014 Champions in a very competetive field of fifteen schools. They bested 2nd place Middlesex by three tenths of a second. Seeded third going into the race, the Groton team of Stefano Viacava, Cam Cullen, Fraser Wright, and Chris Higginson ran a season best of 3:36.98, 2.24 seconds better than their previous best time.
