Blue Skies, Sunshine, and a Sizable Crowd

Blue skies, sunshine, and a sizable crowd gathered for Roxbury Latin’s Parents’ Weekend made for a great day for racing Saturday. 

 

While Groton Boys’ Cross Country fell to Roxbury Latin and Nobles, they emerged victorious over Brooks and made the most of one of the ISL's more challenging courses. This week saw yet another Top Five finish from the dynamic duo of Captain Jack Lionette (`23) and Christopher Hovet (`25). Meanwhile, newcomers Husayn Ladha (`24), Matthew Sennelius, and Maxwell Rothman (`27) each managed personal bests. Other exemplary races from Ryder Cavanaugh (`24), Captain Vivan Das (`23), Ayur Vallecha (`25), Eric Ge (`24), Jeremy Gall (`24), Carter Lightburn (`25), and Damien West (`26) helped cap off a solid day of running.  

 

The Boys will spend their week resting and recovering in preparation for ISL’s in Wrentham, Massachusetts this Friday.
