Come From Behind Win Over Milton
Groton erased a 2-1 halftime deficit to earn a 3-2 win against Milton.
The Mustangs opened the scoring, but the Zebras evened the score when Tyler Martens and Alicia Ye combined for Ye's first goal of the season. Milton scored again just before the half to regain the lead.
Karenna Beckstein found Ye early in the second half to knot the score at 2-2. A few minutes later Beckstein linked up with Martens for the go-ahead goal.
The Groton defense held off many Milton attacks, and goalkeeper Morgan Fillion made a number of fantastic saves to secure the win.
Groton (3-3-1) hosts Rivers on Saturday.
