Coach Funnell Gets First Win Over Former School

Coach Funnell spent 21 years at Cardigan Mountain School, but had never beaten the Cougars in lacrosse since coming to Groton. Prior games had been tight, but he was 0-8 versus this junior boarding school until today's meeting. With the JV bolstered with a few of the younger varsity players, the Zebras jumped out to a decisive first half lead and maintained that separation in the second half.
