Bingo Big Band Festival
A great performance at a jazz festival and cultural exchange
June 18
The Jazz band had an early departure to head to the Bingo Big Band Jazz Festival at the Fukuyama Reed & Rose Music Hall. The Jazz Festival had nine different groups performing. After a rehearsal, the band had lunch at the Music Hall with members of other bands. It was a great opportunity for socializing and cultural exchange! After a sound check and one last rehearsal, the band went on stage and performed Caravan, S’Wonderful, and Sing Sing Sing. It was a great performance in front of a big audience. After, the band sat in the audience to hear a couple more songs, and then we headed to the hotel. Everyone enjoyed dinner around Hiroshima and some free time before checking-in to get ready for a new day.
