In an impressive display of offensive prowess, the Groton School Zebras hockey team delivered a commanding 6-0 victory over Hebron in a thrilling matchup on on Wednesday afternoon. The Groton Zebras showcased their skills and teamwork, leaving their opponents struggling to contain the relentless offensive onslaught.

First Period Highlights: The opening period saw Groton taking an early lead with a power-play goal by sixth former Allen Fang at 11:18, assisted by Owen Cronan and CJ Armaly. The Groton power play unit demonstrated excellent coordination and execution, capitalizing on the advantage to set the tone for the game.

Second Period Surge: The second period was marked by a flurry of goals from the Groton squad. Zach Baker wasted no time, scoring just 41 seconds into the period with assists from Elliot Wood and Alejandro Hassan. Baker continued his scoring spree at 9:08, with Christian Armaly and Forrest Nelson providing the assists. Later in the period, Devin Fitzgerald extended the lead to 4-0 with a goal at 14:42, assisted by Harrison Freelove and Angus Frew. Groton's offensive lines showcased exceptional chemistry and skill, overwhelming Hebron's defense.

Stellar Goaltending: Getting his first start of the season, third former Goaltender Alex Wang played a pivotal role in Groton's shutout victory, stopping all 15 shots he faced during the 54-minute game. His perfect performance showcased both skill and composure. On the opposing end, Hayden Plimley of Hebron faced a barrage of 53 shots, making 47 saves in a commendable effort to keep his team in the game.
