Groton Volleyball, a program that has only been around since 2017, made the NEPSAC Class B finals for the first time in the school’s history this fall! Since I have been at Groton, the program has made it one round further every year, starting with my third form season when the team made the playoffs for the first time. The whole school came out to support our semifinal and quarterfinal matches which were both home games, and we had the Maqubelas and many Groton parents travel to support us in the finals at Kingswood Oxford School.

Groton volleyball is so enjoyable, not only because we had a great record this season, but because of our team’s environment. Every girl on the court wants to play and is passionate about the sport. We support each other through mental blocks and we celebrate with each other after every point, win or lose. I can’t wait to see what my final season will hold for us!
