Visiting Family
Visiting Family
Ava '26
Apart from holidays, when is there a better time to visit family than in the summer?
Following this logic, I hopped on a ferry bound for Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I found myself in my uncle’s embrace within an hour or two.
The days in the Cape consisted of art galleries and old friends, the nights of hearty meals and laughter. Despite being on the water, there wasn’t very much swimming. I did, however, float among the many smiles at my uncle’s opening night.
With time as our enemy, though, my stay ended as quickly as it began. Soon after departing the ferry to Boston, moments with my uncle had become wonderful memories, and I’d realized my farmer’s tan couldn’t be saved.
