Snowball Fight! Oh and Soliday!

Snowball Fight! Oh and Soliday!

Winter Suprise Holiday is always little unique compared to the others! The announcement by the school prefects and our headmaster Mr. Maqubela takes place the night before rather than after Chapel. This Winter Term, speculation was more undercover than previous years and I was pleasantly surprised. I think the earlier announcement of Winter Surprise Holiday gives the Prefects more freedom to surprise the students. This year, Cedar '26 sent out an email about a school-wide snowball fight on the Circle at 9:00 p.m.! Regardless of the frigid weather and the thought of Surprise Holiday, I pulled on: 2 pairs of pants, a long sleeve, hoodie, and a coat and rushed out of the dorm. Just as my roommate Cora '28 and I ran over to the Schoolhouse, Stephanie '26 sent out an all school email! HAPPY SURPRISE HOLIDAY. We arrived at the Forum, where donuts, friends, and a green-clad Mr. Maqubela waited. Elated at the thought of the freedom to come, the Circle was packed with students throwing snowballs and screaming in excitement. The snowball fight was so much fun that Surprise Holiday was only an added plus… Just joking, Surprise Holiday is always the best part. I write this now after a long day of store-hopping and eating in Boston, feeling happily exhausted!
