• Squash - JV Girls

    2018 - 2019
    Head Coach: Nathan Lamarre-Vincent

Squash is one of the most popular winter sports at Groton School, and the program caters to both the keenly competitive and the casual recreational squash players.

The program subdivides about forty students into varsity, junior varsity, and thirds teams. Our terrific facility of twelve glass-backed courts, designed for optimal match viewing, allows us to maximize the number of students who can participate in the program. The JV team typically has about ten players on four courts; it practices for ninety minutes and plays inter-school matches weekly. We are one of the few programs in New England that has taken players who started out in our thirds program, without any previous squash experience, to college-level squash. Groton team members have gone on to play squash at Harvard, Trinity, Yale, Stanford, UVA, Franklin and Marshall, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, and other top college programs around the country.
