Welcome to Groton's Newly Admitted Students

Congratulations to the multi-talented students who were admitted to Groton School this year!
Groton welcomed students from 14 countries and 22 U.S. states, all of them with exceptional accomplishments in and out of the classroom.

Internationally, students were accepted from Albania, the Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, and Thailand. U.S. students were admitted from all over the country, from California to New York, from Utah to Georgia, from Kentucky to Connecticut. Competition for a spot was keen: Groton admitted about 12 percent of its applicants.

“Groton received strong applications from all over the world. More than 1,170 arrived for 85 openings, a substantial increase over last year," said Director of Admission Ian Gracey. "Applicants are clearly interested in the School’s new leader, Temba Maqubela, and in the impending renovation of our Schoolhouse.”

Groton hopes to see all of its newly admitted students back on campus for Revisit Days, April 3-4 and April 7-8.
