"Two 30-minute games" at Nobles "0-6, 3-0"

Beautiful day, chilly, sunny with big clouds, very gusty (and rainy right after the game). Let’s think of this as two mini-games. Nobles won the first 30 minutes, a very decisive 6-0. Though the Groton girls played them evenly for fifteen minutes, once Nobles started scoring goals, they simply took over the game. Halftime provided a needed break and regrouping, and the Groton girls returned to the field determined to play well individually and together, to have fun, and to prove to themselves that they are in fact a talented, capable team. And from the opening of the second half they did just that. The entire team played solid field hockey, connecting with each other, playing tight defense, getting to the ball first, and generally playing an effective, aggressive game. Hannah Wise put two tallies on the board, and Christina Oelhafen put up a third. A dominant 3-0 thirty-minute victory.
