Groton Drops Close Match to Thayer
Thayer scored midway through the second half of the match to earn a deserved 2-1 victory over Groton.
The Tigers opened the scoring with ten minutes remaining in the first half, but the Zebras equalized a few minutes later when Karenna Beckstein found Nikkie Pollis in front of goal.
Groton bounced back well from Satruday's match against Rivers. Angelika Hillios, in particular, did a nice job in goal.
Groton (1-7) hosts Middlesex on Friday.
