A beautiful day for soccer

It was a hard fought contest between relatively even teams on a day when Groton's thirds were split in half to get lots of opportunity to play. Big man Josh Golden went down early with an injury, and his presence in the back was missed. Having spotted the visitors 2 in the first half, Groton managed to claw one back in the second when Wally Capen found the back of the net. Despite more opportunities, we were unable to get the equalizer. We'll try again next week when we see Belmont Hill again.
