Scoring woes - 0-5 against Milton

A grey somewhat chilly day, but perfect for playing field hockey. Except that it was another long afternoon on the turf. Milton put their first tally on the board early as the Groton girls were initially a little sluggish. They found their footing, though, and fought back, determined that they were just as good as the opposition, and they showed that they could play with Milton. Scoring opportunities abounded, but the Milton goalie was fierce, and there were several shots off the post as well. The squad had trouble finishing, and goals eluded the home team. In spite of the score, there were some strong moments with good passing, solid channeling and defense, and feistiness in the circle.
