Tough outing at SPS 1-6

A tough afternoon on a hot turf field in Concord, NH. St. Paul’s is a strong team this year, with several highly skilled players, powerful hitters, and a group of girls who play very well together. They scored early and often in the first half, ending the first half up five, including a couple on penalty corners. The second half was a more effective thirty minutes, with the Groton girls never quitting. They kept up the pressure to the end of the game, drawing five corners in the last minutes and scoring on one that they made up just before the play; we will keep working on that one! A challenging start to the season, but we will stay positive and keep working.
