Groton Athletes Commit to College Teams

Several Groton School Sixth Formers have committed to play sports at college next year.

Amani Jiu and Caitlyn DiSarcina each signed letters of intent on February 1 to play Division 1 soccer, Amani at University of Akron and Caitlyn at Butler University. Carrie Moore also will be playing soccer; she has committed to the team at Emory University.
 
Taggart Eymer will play Division 1 lacrosse at Bryant University. In women's lacrosse, Marcella Flibotte will play at Trinity College.

Two students have committed to crew—John Cecil at University of California/ Berkeley and Verity Lynch at Dartmouth College.  

In other sports, Rashawn Grant will join the football team at Colby College next year, Maddie Ferrucci will play field hockey at Bowdoin College, and Terrence Wang will play squash at Amherst College.

This list is likely to grow as more students receive acceptances and make decisions. Congratulations to Groton's college athletes!
