Groton girls win opener!

Rachel McMenemy '20 led Groton with 14 points and 14 rebounds to pace Groton to a big win vs. class A St. Paul's. It was the first game of the season for Groton and they started strong and never looked back as they maintained a lead for the whole game. Going into the 4th quarter Groton had a 16 point lead, to St. Paul's credit they never gave up and cut the lead to 7 points with just under 2 minutes remaining. Groton hit some late free throws when St. Paul's was forced to foul to leave NH with a 54-45 win. Calie Messina '22 had her typical good all around game with 10 points, 6 assists, 3 steals, and only 1 turnover from the point guard position. Katie Resendiz '22 also had a strong all around game with 10 points, 8 rebound, and 7 assists.
