Decisive victory

On the eve of the New England Class "A" Championships, Groton headed to Wayland to play a match against Rivers indoors. The boys were very sharp, sweeping all singles and doubles sets. Contributing to Groton's win were our three captains, Andrew Yang, Aaron Jin and Gabe Scholl, who were all victorious. Other points were notched by Powers Trigg, Jared Gura, Ben Jones and Noah Bay. The match was marked by good spirit all around. On the way home, the boys enjoyed a  delicious and leisurely dinner. A good night's sleep is now in store. Tomorrow at 10 a.m. in O'Brien Rink, Groton takes on Avon Old Farms in the quarter-finals of the New England Tennis Championships. If victorious, they will play the winner of Andover vs Hotchkiss in the afternoon. Should be a very exciting weekend.
