A stylish win against a worthy opponent

Over the years, Belmont Hill has had one of the best teams in the ISL, consistently finishing in the top few in the League. This year, BH arrived to Groton with a record of 10-1. They left town with a record of 10-2.  In a very fine match, marked with great sportsmanship and excellent tennis, Groton prevailed. The doubles point came to Groton after wins by Matt Kandel/Andrew Yang and Gabe Scholl/Powers Trigg. In singles, Kandel, Scholl, Trigg, Ben Jones and Aaron Jin won their matches for the home team. Said Coach Conner: "The boys are looking sharp. They are focused and ready. It was great fun to watch them compete today."

It will be an exciting week for Groton tennis. Rivers is next on Friday, and then the New Englands. Groton will be one of the top seeds in the "A" Division.  Stay tuned.
